The room I stayed in had clean linen and offered surprisingly good comfort, despite some of the surrounding issues, which I appreciated after a long day of traveling. The quirky atmosphere added a character to the place that you don’t find in many hotels nowadays.
The room had its share of maintenance problems. broken blinds and a rattling window made for a less-than-comfortable sleep, especially with cold drafts cutting through. The outdated and grubby carpet in the hallway made a poor impression upon entering, while the limited parking forced me to hunt for a street spot after a long journey. Noise from the bar seeped into the room, which felt overwhelming late into the night. I noticed the bathroom was lacking some essential amenities, like a functional shower door handle, and I had to make do with poor TV signal and sporadic Wi-Fi. it felt more like a budget choice than a proper hotel experience.

stunning coastal views, characterful environment, impressive historical building
Cleanliness leaves much to be desired!!! Breakdowns in maintenance, such as broken blinds and rickety furniture, affect overall comfort. parking is a hassle, often forcing guests to resort to street parking.

what a greeat disappointment! upon my arrival, I was shocked to find paint peeling off the walls, and I can hardly believe no welcome gift was given to someone like me. I almost thought about leaving a positive review, but the breakfast fiasco sealed the deal. I can hardly recommend this place to anyone.

Unique character but lacking basics
The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring we felt welcomed and attended to throughout our stay, even offering to carry our luggage up the steep stairs.
Unfortunately, the room did not meet expectations, with rough edges like a cold room, a loose toilet seat, and overall cleanliness being a concern.

Had a grand time! The view from our room was breathtaking, with the sea just in sight. Staff were friendly, and the bar downstairs was a nice touch. Just a pity the breakfast area felt a bit cramped. a mighty stay for what we paid!

The charming view from my room made my stay special, with the sea in sight. I appreciated the clean linens and the comfortable bedding after a long journey. The staff greeted me with warmth, making check-in easy. Enjoyed an English breakfast, freshly cooked, though it came at an extra cost. Some issues took away from the experience, like the outdated carpets in the common areas and noise from the bar affecting my sleep. Parking was limited, so plan ahead if you drive.

Family with children in a rundown place
The manager seemed friendly at first just gave the directions then said to have a nice stay but I guess he was a bit tipsy when we returned. Breakfast was just about acceptable but it was all over the place one staff member doing everything, not what I expected.
It was a bit pricey but you know what, sometimes you just roll with it.
